Dave Pack

David C. Pack is the Scout executive for the Utah National Parks Council, the largest Boy Scout council and the largest BSA outdoor camping program in the nation. In his position, he helps 85,000 youth and 42,000 adult volunteers experience outdoor adventure and learn leadership. David has spent 40 years as a volunteer and professional with the BSA. In that time, he has traveled around the country teaching community leaders to leverage outdoor experiences and programs to build youth. He has seen firsthand how meaningful outdoor experiences give young people confidence, leadership skills, coping mechanisms, and peace of mind.

Dave is an author and blogger on the two nationally recognized blogs with over 400,000 readers that he helped found along with the marketing committee of the Utah National Parks Council: The Boy Scout, and Voice of Scouting.

David was born and raised in Logan, Utah. He graduated from Utah State University with a degree in Finance and a minor in Economics. David and his wife Sandra are the proud parents of two children, Heather and Nathan, and grandparents of ten future Eagle Scouts. David is an Eagle Scout, along with his son and four brothers. David grew up in a family of nine children and thirty-two of David’s nephews are Eagle Scouts.
